What are the Ersti-Tage 2023?

Ersti-Tage 2023 is a bilingual event from 28.10 to 29.10.2023 aimed at first-semester students in following study programmes:

The aim of the Ersti-Tage is to network first-semester students of economics. The Ersti-Tage create many lasting contacts for your further studies. The Ersti-Tage 2023 will be organised by the Fachschaft BEM and WINGS . To find out even more about the process, there is more info below.

General information & registration

The start week takes place in the first week of your studies (05.10.2023 - 13.10.2023). The start week is organised centrally by Leuphana University Lüneburg for first-semester students of all Bachelor programmes. During the Opening Week, the focus is on intellectual, interdisciplinary and intercultural exchange.
The Ersti-Tage will take place on 28.10.2023 and 29.10.2023. They are organised by the Fachschaft BEM and the WINGS for the respective study programmes that are part of the student councils. (see above: Winf, IBAE, Econ, WiPäd, Ing, DS, M&E, SA&F, M&Eng) der beiden Fachschaften organisiert.
During the Start Week, you will get to know various people from all degree programmes. During the Ersti-Tage 2023 you will get to know various people from your field of study (in the area of Management & Technology) - both contact groups offer fruitful added value for successful studies at Leuphana University of Lüneburg.

The Ersti-Tage 2023 start on Sa, 28.10.2023 at 8:45 AM (Meeting point: seminar rooms - tba). The city rally runs until 7 PM. After a short recovery break, on that same day from 9 PM to 2 AM an after-show party at KLIPPO takes place. On Sun, 29.10.2023 the event will start again at 12 AM in the Mensa and ends at 7 PM.

Registration opens on 01.10.2023 at 0:00 AM and closes on 24.10.2023 at 11:59 PM . 

The organisers are the WINGS ( student council of the engineers) and Die Fachschaft BEM (student council of Business) as sub-corporations of the AStA Lüneburg. Student councils are the result of the union of various student representatives of the respective degree programmes within a student council.. You can imagine the representatives of the subject groups as class representatives of your course of study. We, as student representatives, work on a cost-covering basis - so we have no financial benefit from it. Your added value consists of 2 days where you can meet over 300 people from associated study programmes.During the Ersti Days there is plenty of time to forge course-related friendships.. 
The contribution fee of 15 EUR is lowered by sponsoring, money reserves and project funding from the StuPa. That makes it 267% cheaper than last year's contribution fee - so this time it's a real bargain! The price includes a freshman shirt with front and back print in your size, admission to the after-show party, unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, your freshman bag with goodies and vouchers, breakfast on Saturday morning, a dinner (Chili con carne; Chili sin carne) in the Mensa provided by Die Feinschmeckerei on Saturday evening, a Tomato/goulash/pumpkin/chili soup from Hamfelder Hof on Sunday morning and a free visit to the Unikino. 

The registration in connection with the transfer of the full participant amount of 15 EUR is binding. We cannot refund payments made, as we already purchase the required goods in advance. Please have understanding for this. 

The transformation rooms "Trafos" (C25) are in the same building as Techniker Krankenkasse, Frühstarter and the Berufsakademie. The Trafos are located between the library and the central building. A map of the campus can be found here: https://www.leuphana.de/universitaet/lageplaene.html (see C25). During the Ersti-Tage, the contact persons will be the central point of contact for questions. 

For coordination reasons, this is not possible. Our goal is to network students. We are sure that you will meet just as many interesting people during the Ersti-Tage 😉

Yes! We warmly recommend it to register for the bed exchange ("Bettenbörse"). We have already found people who will make their rooms available for several people to stay overnight. To make you feel as comfortable as possible, we will start a final matchmaking on Saturday evening. This way you can stay overnight with someone you have made friends with and trust during the day. 

We recommend comfortable, sturdy footwear and functional or weather-appropriate clothing.. 
Please also remember the basic equipment: your Medication, student ID and if necessary for a spontaneous overnight stay a toothbrush, changing clothes etc. Please bring for the food cutlery and a soup plate with you. 
If you would like to stay overnight in Lüneburg, we would ask you to bring a sleeping bag/pillow or blanket because we cannot guarantee that it is available everywhere. 
Yes! At every meal we offer vegan and vegetarian options for you.
If you are allergic, please remember to inform yourself about allergens before eating!

We do our best to make the event as bilingual as possible!

At the end of the registration, you can save the answer in your connected Microsoft account. Please visit forms.microsoft.com auf, melde dich an und klicke auf „Ausgefüllte Formulare“. Dort gibt es die Möglichkeit bis zum Bewerbungsschluss eure Antwort noch einmal zu überarbeiten – beispielsweise wenn du eine/n Partner/in für die Bettenbörse eintragen willst.

Behaviour and contact

Legal regulations for drugs apply. Alcohol is provided for people who meet the legal requirements. Alcohol can, in the right measure, provide the relaxed atmosphere for getting to know people, but is not a prerequisite for getting to know people. 
We demand the responsible handling with alcohol. We provide non-alcoholic drinks to the same extent for all participants. Carrying illegal substances will not be tolerated.
The awareness team is largely made up of external people in order to retain the neutrality of the team . 
There are 2-3 people on campus and another 4-5 people in town with yellow waistcoats commuting between stations. 
Then there are another 2 people in the city and 3 people on campus as general contact persons with orange waistcoats.

You will find the awareness concept printed on the back of our city map in every first-year bag and via social media. 
Yes, definitely. We are sure you'll discover in the first few weeks of your new life Leuphana students are generally open and outgoing people, when you talk to them. 
This year we are providing more soft drinks and focus on a relaxed team spirit.

The aftershow party will take place at Klippo (cafeteria and learning space in the central building of Leuphana University). We will transform the Klippo that evening with 2 DJs, dance area, photo zone and games. At the aftershow party there will be a cloakroom for jackets and bags, security (Secu Nord), an awareness team and bar staff from Klippo.

There is no written code per sé.Our Awareness concept is communicated in a way that is accessible to all. Furthermore, the following points (also under the influence of alcohol) are assumed to be clear common sense: 
  • When first-year shirts are worn, you represent the student councils as part of Leuphana University. We ask you not to do anything that leads to a negative appearance. 
  • Just like our T-shirts, sponsored items have a outward appearance. We ask you to take good care of the material and food. We work hard every year to build up good sponsoring contacts and want to maintain these in the coming years.
  • As organisers, the student councils work hard to provide the best possible experience.If something doesn't go perfectly, please forgive us and make the best of the situation. 
  • "Everything can, nothing must!" A no is a no. Respect the boundaries of others and look out for each other!
  • The general rules for first aid apply: First self-protection, then help. 
  • Secure yourselves and then the accident site. After that, assess whether first aid is needed via First aid case (= basic equipment of every station) or whether the emergency call 112 needs to be called. The following applies here: "Caution, prevails over indulgence!"

According to the manufacturer, the T-shirts consist of 100% organic cotton and were developed in accordance with the AStA's sustainability regulations (§19 Nachhaltigkeitsordnung). made under fair working conditions. We welcome you to wear your T-shirt after the event and make a conscious decision not to fast-fashion.
At the end of the registration, you can save your answer in your connected Microsoft account. Please visit forms.microsoft.com log in and click on "Completed forms". There you have the possibility to revise your answer until the application deadline - for example if you want to register for the bed exchange.
Should you notice after the distribution of the Ersti-Shirtsthe shirt is too small/size for you, your group tutor can ask the logistics team once during thebreakfast in the morningbreakfast on Saturday. 
A little tip: you can wear T-shirts that are too big, but you can't wear T-shirts that are too small. 

Please clarify on a case-by-case basis. If there is a surplus of T-shirts, we can help you with a T-shirt if necessary. Please take care of your T-shirts. The moment you wear your T-shirt, you represent the student councils, the AStA, Leuphana University Lüneburg and the entire student body to the outside world.

Yes, if you are there on Saturday morning, you can come to the Tranformation rooms (C25) and ask for your t-shirt. However, we cannot guarantee you one. It's first come first serve. Bed exchange ("Bettenbörse") - Overnight stay in Lüneburg

The bed exchange is part of the registration form. The aim is that accomodate Erstis who currently live outside Lüneburg do not have to commute home on the evening of the after-show party (Saturday 28.10. to Sunday 29.10.). This is the only way for everyone to have a good time at the party. 
We are looking for people who offer a place to sleep and people who need a place to sleep.
We will try to take this fear away from you by organizing the possibility of a blitz matchmaking for the bed exchange. We can network you with people you have already met on 28.10. This way you can make sure that only people you are already familiar with sleep at your space. 
We also offer the possibility to indicate your preferences in the registration form. If, for example, as a woman you are uncomfortable staying overnight with a male person, you can specify this. 

Yes, you'd best have a sleeping bag / blanket or pillow as we cannot ensure that every sleeping accommodation has the full equipment. 

Most importantly, the bed must be a sleeping facility in a protected space . A mattress or a sofa is already sufficient. A carpet and a sleeping mat are also sufficient for one night. It is also no problem if you cannot provide bedding (blanket or pillow). We ask people to bring their own. 

Lost & Found

When we find personal items, we collect them for a short time in our "Lost and Found" in office C6.010 (or temporarily in the Trafos). So it's worth dropping by there after the event or reaching out to us via Social Media (@die.fachschaft) if you are missing something. We ask for an exact description of the item.
The lost property office of Leuphana is located on campus in building 10, room 018. The contact persons are the employees of the mail room.Opening hours: Mon - Fri 06.00 - 09.00, Mon - Fri 13.30 - 15.00.

Take it with you, give it to the Station Tutors or bring it to the Trafos in the evening when you are there. We gather lost objects there.

Participate and support

The lowest-threshold option would be for you to network with us and spend some time in the community. Attendance at our university public events (e.g. our next student council meeting on 08.11. at 18:30 in lecture hall 4) or a visit during our office hours would be an option. To take up work in a department, it is helpful if you made contacts to the respective people, who are part of the department already.
